We believe that Holy Communion is given by
our Lord to his Church, the Body of Christ, to remember the deeds
of love by which he saved us, especially his death and resurrection,
and to celebrate his presence with us now. We believe that his true
body and blood are given under the elements of bread and wine. Through
this eating and drinking those who trust his promise receive forgiveness
of sins, the renewal of life and salvation.
We invite to the Lord's Table all who have been instructed
in the meaning of Communion; have been baptized into the family
of Christ in the name of the Triune God; and have received Jesus
Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe that as we eat and drink this
meal we are nurtured in our faith in Jesus Christ, united in our
love for one another and strengthened for a joyful living of the
new life in Christ.
