Called to be POLITICAL

(But I don't want to be political!)

This was a workshop focusing on the teachings of Martin Luther
on the role of Christians in politics.

Saturday, August 21, 2004

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall
Corner of Stroop and Ackerman in Kettering

9:30 a.m. Registration
10 a.m. Workshop
Noon Carry-in Salad Luncheon

Good Shepherd will present a workshop that delves into the fears and misunderstandings about our church's involvement in politics, presents Biblical truths and Martin Luther's own thoughts on the role of Christians in the political arena, and challenges participants to become God's partners for justice.

Sandy Mants, executive director of the Dayton League of Women Voters, will present information on how to learn about political candidates, research public issues, and the many ways to effect political change as a Christian in today's society.

To register, or for more information,
please call Good Shepherd at: 298-0136
